Blog Birthday GIVEAWAY

Today is my 2 year blogoversary or blog birthday. I decided to start posting recipes on the internet two years ago when I had the day off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in 2011. What started as a way to share some recipes with friends and family grew into a hobby which grew into a lifestyle that I love more and more everyday.

Cooking, photography and writing have become a cherished part of my daily routine. Some days I look forward to coming home from work and trying something new, be it developing a new recipe or trying to figure out photoshop. Other days, my enthusiasm wanes and I read some of the lovely comments and emails I’ve received and a find my inspiration 0nce again. I am continually inspired by the wonderful and talented blogger friends I’ve made and their support and friendship has made this experience so special.

Since starting this website, I have learned some important lessons about time management,  goal setting and how to turn a tiny apartment kitchen into a makeshift photo studio. When I began, my goal was to improve every day, either with better recipes, better photos, or more traffic. This philosophy has kept me motivated and looking forward to the challenges of year 3.

To celebrate, I wanted to give a little something to show my appreciation to my loyal readers. So I am giving away TWO subscriptions to Cooking Light Magazine. When I started learning to cook, Cooking Light was my Bible. I was so excited to receive a new issue in the mail every month and try out new healthy recipes.

So many of my readers write emails and comments about their own experiences learning to cook and create healthy recipes. That’s why I decided that cooking light was the perfect blog birthday gift! This giveaway is open to residents of the USA and Canada.
